GinGingers Apple Cider Vinegar Gel has undergone independent UK laboratory testing on microorganisms associated with common skin and scalp concerns.
A 99.99% reduction in Trichophyton rubrum was recorded in under 3 minutes. This is a common fungus associated with foot and skin concerns.
A 99.99% reduction in Cutibacterium acnes was recorded in 2 minutes. This bacterium is associated with blemish-prone and acne-prone skin.
GinGingers Apple Cider Vinegar Gel is a cosmetic product and is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any medical condition. Results relate to testing performed on the finished formulation under specified laboratory conditions and should not be interpreted as demonstrating the prevention or treatment of a medical condition.
A 97.93% reduction in Malassezia furfur was recorded in 5 minutes. This yeast is associated with dandruff and common scalp concerns.
Independent time-kill testing recorded a 99.99% reduction within 5 minutes against S. aureus, E. coli, P. aeruginosa and E. hirae.
How Customers Use GinGingers Apple Cider Vinegar Gel
Apply a thin layer of GinGingers Apple Cider Vinegar Gel to the desired area, avoiding broken skin and the eye area. A little goes a long way. Use daily as part of your natural skincare routine on the face, blemish-prone skin, scalp, or targeted body care.
Patch Test Recommended:
Before first use, apply a small amount of gel to a clean, discreet area, such as the inside of the forearm. Do not apply more widely if redness, discomfort, stinging or irritation develops.
A Quick Note About the Pinkness
Some users may notice a slight pink tone immediately after application. This is temporary and should fade within a few minutes.
A brief pink tone should not be confused with irritation. Persistent redness, stinging or burning indicates a possible reaction—rinse the product off and discontinue use.

Apple Cider Vinegar (With "The Mother"): The star of the formula. Our Apple Cider Vinegar is made using Yorkshire-grown apples cultivated on organically farmed land and slowly fermented using traditional methods. It contains “The Mother” a natural sign of authentic apple cider vinegar that helps set our formula apart.
Witch Hazel: A traditional botanical powerhouse valued for its natural astringent properties. It works alongside Apple Cider Vinegar to help leave skin feeling toned, refreshed and cared for.
Liquorice Root Extract: A time-honoured botanical powerhouse valued for its skin-conditioning properties and long history in traditional skincare. With liquorice deeply rooted in Pontefract’s heritage, it is also a fitting nod to our own Yorkshire roots.
Tea Tree Oil: A botanical powerhouse with a long history of traditional use, valued in modern skincare for its naturally cleansing and purifying properties. Its distinctive aroma also complements the Apple Cider Vinegar within our formula.
Meadowfoam Seed Oil: A lightweight, nourishing and non-comedogenic oil that helps retain moisture without leaving a heavy or greasy finish. Its natural stability also helps support the formula.
Glycerin, Natural Plant Gums & Fruit Acids: Working quietly behind the scenes, glycerin helps attract moisture while our plant gums and fruit acids support the gel’s smooth texture, stability and easy application. It’s not the most glamorous job, but somebody has to do it.

The story behind the name.
GinGingers began during lockdown, when founder Tina Harris started exploring skincare as a creative distraction and something she could share with her young daughter - her little “GinGinger.”
When she was just four years old, Tina’s daughter drew the original GinGingers face logo. That little drawing stayed.
What began as an idea at home developed through three years of formulation work into a professionally manufactured, independently tested and certified skincare product.
Today, that original little face still sits proudly on every tube of GinGingers. We may have grown, but the heart of the brand hasn’t changed.

For a small independent brand, GinGingers has built a strong network of academic, research and innovation collaborations, working with the University of Bradford, University of Huddersfield, Sheffield Hallam University, Coventry University, Biorenewables Development Centre / University of York, and CPI Newcastle to explore formulation development, ingredient performance and future innovation. Current research includes apple cider vinegar odour reduction and future microbiome-conscious formulations, while retaining the ingredients and principles at the heart of GinGingers and helping shape the next generation of the brand.
