Natural ingredients

Here at GinGingers, we will only ever use natural ingredients that are of the highest quality. The majority of our suppliers are based right here in Yorkshire, and we only use natural products that are sourced in a responsible and sustainable manner.

Apple Cider Vinegar

This has been used as a traditional remedy since as far back as 5000 B.C. Even Hippocrates was said to have used the vinegar as an antiseptic to treat various skin conditions and infections.

Famed for its antibacterial and antifungal qualities, apple cider vinegar is still a firm favourite of many today. It is used as a natural remedy to help control blemished and acne-prone skin, and its natural astringent properties also help with the skins overall texture and tone. Containing alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), apple cider vinegar is a natural exfoliant and its antifungal properties can also help with skin and nail infections caused by certain fungi. Other uses are said to include treatment for skin tags, foot odour, eczema, sun burn, balancing the skins pH and as a deodorant.

The Apple Cider Vinegar that GinGingers use in their products has been produced using apples grown traditionally, using organic guidelines for over 30 years, and the resulting cider fermented by the slow Orleans method.  It is by far the best quality vinegar that we have tried and tested, and has an acidity of around 4%. Of course, the vinegar we use contains 'The Mother', this cloudy cob-web like substance is a result of the natural fermentation and maturation process and is a sign of purity and quality. The ‘mother' is made up of beneficial bacteria, enzymes and proteins that have multiple benefits for the skin.
